nothing leaves
your mac.
nudgi is a tiny mac app. it has no backend, no account, no analytics, and no tracking. nothing you do in nudgi is sent to us or to any third party we control — because we don't run any servers to send it to.

what stays on your mac
your pace tier, active hours, nudge history, completion counts, calendar busy-intervals, and any preferences you set live in a local core data store inside ~/library/application support/nudgi. if you delete the app and that folder, it's gone.
we keep roughly the last 30 days of nudge history and prune older rows automatically. the database never travels off your machine.
what we never collect
- analytics or telemetry — no sdks, no events, no usage metrics, no error reports leaving your mac.
- an account — nudgi has no sign-up, no login, no email field anywhere.
- your calendar event titles — when you grant calendar access, nudgi reads events on your mac to compute (start, end, busy?) tuples. titles and attendees are never persisted and never transmitted.
- screen recording, microphone, or camera — nudgi never requests these permissions.
permissions the app may ask for
each is optional, requested only when the matching feature is used, and used only on your device.
- launch at login — via apple's smappservice. lets nudgi start with your mac. revoke any time in settings.
- calendar (eventkit) — to skip nudges during meetings. event titles are read in-memory and discarded; only (start, end) busy intervals are kept while computing today's plan.
- notifications — off by default in v1. only used as a fallback when the notch can't render (e.g. a fullscreen app covers it).
updates & the network
nudgi checks for new versions through sparkle, an open-source updater. that means a single signed http request to getnudgi.app/appcast.xml when the app launches and roughly once a day after. the request carries your nudgi version and macos version — no user identifier, no behavior data. you can turn auto- update off in settings if you'd rather check manually.
aside from that one update check, nudgi makes no other network calls.
purchases
nudgi is free. there is no in-app purchase, no subscription, and no paywall. the optional "buy me a coffee" link on getnudgi.app goes to a third-party tipping page that we neither operate nor see your card details through.
children
nudgi is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
changes to this policy
if this ever changes — for example, if a future version introduces a feature that genuinely needs a server — this page is updated before that feature ships, and the change is disclosed in the app's release notes.
